Verified and current as of July 25, 2022

Information subject to change at any time please call to verify.

Before you leave:

As an EV owner, you know that there are different factors that affect the life of the charge on your vehicle outside of regular use.

Altitude:

Make sure you know what impact the increase  and climb in altitude will have on your range to ensure that you make it up the hill.  Many EV owners have reported that their ranges have been impacted by their uphill drive to Big Bear.  There are chargers located at the base of the mountain regardless of which you are coming in from.  Plan to stop ahead if you’re low on range.

Weather:

Some electric vehicle ranges have been known to be affected by weather.  Make sure to plan accordingly.

Traffic:

If your EV performs differently while stuck in traffic, make sure to check traffic conditions before you leave, and plan for changes along the way.  You may experience traffic coming up the hill especially if you are travelling at peak times.
